West Lydford clergy

The clergy who served the parish included saints and sinners, faithful priests and absentee rectors. The first recorded William the priest from the mid 12th century was probably very unlike the wealthy pluralist William Hungerford Colston who employed six servants at the rectory house in the 19th century.
