Banwell Tower

This tower was builtĀ as a prospect tower for visitors to the caves. It replaced a short-lived obelisk. It stands on a hill beyond the main grounds accessed by a long carriageway lined at intervals with pairs of stones and gatepiers. It commands glorious views of surrounding hills, the sea and the Welsh mountains. It has recently been restored.
