Pebble Grotto, Banwell

This grotto or summerhouse is one of the buildings in the grounds above the caves designed by Bishop Law. It is decorated with pebbles from a beach several miles away and is currently being restored. The building is topped by a lion and a camel, the latter found in vegetation nearby in a sorry state. The buildng was descriped as the bishop's 'curious seat above the caverns' and enjoys far-reaching views.
