Barrington Court long gallery

No 16th-century house was complete without a long gallery but this gallery is not as 'antique' as it appears. The gallery forms a landing passage linking the chambers of the first floor and has steps connecting the lower and upper ends. The timbering was inserted by Forbes for Co Lyle using the usual mixture of genuine original woodwork and modern craftsmen-made replicas.
