James Raxworthy

James Raxworthy senior was presumably in residence in Codford by 1830, for in November of that year, the Swing Riots began and he was unwittingly involved.

James was the son of John and Dyonisia and was baptised in 1793. He died in 1856. In the 1851 Census, James' profession was recorded as 'wool stapler' employing  12 men.
