Woolstore

This industrial building known as The Woolstore stands in the ancient parish of Codford St Peter on the south side of the High Street, where the road begins to rise towards the west. Constructed during the 19th century, the building was used to sort and grade raw wool fleeces prior to carding and spinning and was extended over several phases. The final phase, the covered courtyard was later converted to house the Woolstore Theatre. The complex of buildings also includes the Wool House, a mansion once owned by James Raxworthy and the old Wool House Cottage
