Parham and the Second World War

The Second World War had a great impact on the restoration of the country house.  A hiatus in the works planned by the Pearsons, combined with the use of the house by the army and as a home for evacuees, meant several steps back had to be taken before they could move forward. Work eventually began in earnest in 1949.
