St Cleer Well House, St Cleer

This small but appealing well building lies just to the north of the churchyard of St Clarus’s Church. It dates from the 15th century (also restored in the 19th century). It is square, made of granite with a steep gabled roof and heavy granite polygonal piers.   Nearby,  down the road, is a granite medieval cross. It is a Latin cross, standing on a rough plinth and is about 2 metres 20 cm tall.
