Helsbury Castle, Cornwall

This Iron Age hill fort consists of a circular raised earthwork and ditch enclosing an area about 140 metres in diameter. It is unclear what its purpose would have been, although archaeologists speculate that such Iron Age hill forts would have been used as a fortress or as a sign of the wealth and power of the person who built it.
