Exford church

Exford church

The church of St Mary Magdalene has a late medieval tower and a 16th-century south aisle. The church was largely rebuilt and a porch was added in the 19th century. The church was largely refitted in the 1920s but retains its late medieval font and a restored 15th-century screen from the old church at West Quantoxhead. Although evidence of the early church has been swept away the 13th-century preaching cross still stands in the churchyard.
