Wouldham, the house of Walter Burke

Wouldham, Purser Place, the house of Walter Burke. He was purser on the Victory and it was in his arms that Nelson died. By tradition children of Wouldham lay flowers on his grave in the churchyard on Trafalgar Day (21 October). Materials from the house were moved to Maresfield, Sussex, in 1937 and form part of a reconstructed house.
