The Mount, Basingstoke

The Mount was a substantial family home with grounds of about two acres situated in Bounty Road, Basingstoke. Burberry, Harriot Stanton Blatch, a famous American suffragette; an heiress from the Twinings family and Harry Potter lived there.  The Mount was also the birthplace of the explorer and travel writer, Freya Stark. It was demolished in 1966.
