Lanacre Bridge

Lanacre Bridge

Lanacre or Landacre Bridge crosses the river Barle two miles west of Withypool village.

The bridge is medieval in origin but was restored after damage in the1952 flood.

One of the medieval forest courts met near this bridge which was on an important route from the Exford to Dulverton road across Withypool Common and Exmoor Forest to North and South Molton.
