East Liscombe, East Anstey

This farm and the nearby cottage, now abandoned, were surveyed by a group of volunteers.

East Liscombe farm covered 190 a. in 1881 when it was the home of the Howe family and their farm servant William Hoyal aged 16.  In 1901 William Dicks and his wife ran the farm with a servant girl and a young carter living in the house. Neighbouring West Liscombe farm was larger, 260 a. in 1881.
