Dupath Well

Dupath Well, situated 1.5 kilometres east-south-east of Callington, is housed in a granite ashlar building and incorporates architectural features typical of the 15th century to the early 16th century.  The late medieval holy well is housed over a flowing spring and adjacent  is a medieval, circular trough that collects the outflowing water.

The roof is built of long stone that run its entire length.  It is said to have been built in 1510 by the monks of St Germans, who aquired land, then called 'Theu Path', in 1432 and remaining in their possession until their priory was dissolved in 1539.

The Revd H. M. Price restored the well during the 19th century after finding it in a state of disrepair.
