Cherry Orchard

In 1944 plans were drawn up by Warminster and Westbury RDC to build on the site of the American military camp, formally the old cherry orchard between the two settlements, providing terraced and semi-detached houses of traditional two-storeyed, pitched-roofed form.
Between 1963 and 1975, 69 more houses were built in Cherry Orchard, to which a further 12 had been added by 1982.
