Minehead Parish Workhouses

For nearly a century paupers were housed in two buildings on Church Steps, probably the former church houses and a cottage leased for the purpose in 1731.

In 1822 the paupers had a new and rather more austere building in Middle Street, which was in use for less than 20 years.
